It's that time again for
the great Leadership Conference at Lewis U.
2007!
YLC
is held in summer at Lewis
University in Romeoville (this is 27th year!) and it is a
great way to meet teens from the area and participate in fun
activities that will inspire your faith! Over 800
teens and (college age) peer leaders attend. Last year we had a
group of 10 go from our Lemont Parishes.
- DATES: Friday,
7/20 (check-in begins 9:30 AM,) through 7/22 after liturgy at
4PM
- COST:$175 for a
teen or adult chaperon ($14 extra:YLC T-Shirt) (NO FUNDRAISING BEING DONE)
- DEADLINES: 4/30: $80 due with
registration forms, 6/25: $95 (+$14 for
T-shirt if ordered)=$109
YLC
is for incoming freshmen through outgoing seniors. It's
experienced in large group and breakout sessions typically according
to grade level. There is also a dance, free time, a
reconciliation service and a mass with the bishop.
While
it is in the "Joliet"
diocese we in Lemont have been personally invited!!
Please
email or call me if you are interested (with your
address/phone). There are only "700" dorm spaces
(2 to a room) and they DO fill up. I will get
forms out in the mail to you ASAP after you contact me. Last year there were some from Lemont who
couldn't get in as it was filled.
This
is a GREAT leadership opportunity, hope you can make it!
